Managing Partner - R. Vigneswaran Raju

Steering The Chambers of Waran with unwavering legal expertise, Mr. R. Vigneswaran Raju brings over 23 years of experience in active legal practice. As the founder, owner, and Managing Partner, he has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s success and reputation in Malaysia.

Mr. Vigneswaran graduated with Second Class Upper Honours in Law from the University of London in 1996, followed by the Certificate in Legal Practice in 1997. He further specialised in Islamic banking law, earning a Master’s in Law from the International Islamic University Kuala Lumpur in 2001.

His practice spans civil litigation, family disputes, employment law, tort of negligence, and complex commercial agreements and contracts, with frequent appearances at the High Court and the Court of Appeal in Putrajaya.

Beyond his legal practice, he contributes to legal education as a law lecturer at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, sharing his expertise with aspiring lawyers in Hong Kong SAR.

Senior Partner - Roshini Ramasamy

Ms. Roshini Ramasamy, a distinguished LLB (Hons) graduate from Multimedia University (MMU) in 2012, was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2013. With over nine years of experience, she maintains a versatile legal practice covering general civil litigation, corporate litigation, judicial reviews, land matters, family law, defamation, debt recovery, bankruptcy and insolvency, as well as shareholder and boardroom disputes.

Her expertise also includes enforcement and execution matters, such as writs of seizure and sale, garnishee applications, and Industrial Court proceedings representing both employers and employees in unfair dismissal claims.

Ms. Roshini is particularly recognised for her work in employment law, advising corporate clients on employment contracts, handbooks, workforce optimisation, employee terminations, compliance, and litigation. She also represents clients in judicial review proceedings against decisions by the Industrial Court and the Minister of Human Resources.

Together with Mr R. Vigneswaran Raju, she forms a strong leadership team, embodying excellence, innovation, and client-focused representation within the firm.

Associate - Kanimoli Sivadurai

Ms. Kanimoli Sivadurai, LLB (Hons) graduate from Multimedia University (MMU), was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 2 December 2020 and currently practices at The Chambers of Waran’s Johor Bahru Branch.

Her practice covers a wide range of legal areas, including general litigation, criminal litigation, family law, medical negligence, debt recovery, land disputes, class actions, bankruptcy, and insolvency.

Ms. Kanimoli is particularly skilled in the preparation and drafting of cause papers for the Malaysian Courts. As a dedicated legal associate, she demonstrates a strong commitment to protecting client interests and providing effective, client-focused legal representation.

Associate - Lavaniya Balan

Ms. Lavaniya Balan, an accomplished LLB (Hons) graduate from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 16 February 2024 and is an active and dedicated practitioner within The Chambers of Waran.

She maintains a broad and robust practice across general litigation, insurance matters, estate matters, criminal litigation, company law, family law, negligence, banking litigation, industrial relations, and employment law. She handles matters across these areas with precision, strategic insight, and a strong understanding of procedural and substantive requirements.

Ms. Lavaniya also excels in comprehensive legal research, careful document preparation, and the drafting of court materials required by the Malaysian Courts. Her strong attention to detail, adeptness in complex cases, and strategic advice showcase her legal finesse. Associate - Lee An Chi

Ms. Lee An Chi, a distinguished LLB (Hons) graduate and Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) holder from Brickfields Asia College, was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 2 February 2024. She has since developed an active and rigorous practice within The Chambers of Waran.

Her work spans a variety of litigation matters, where she contributes strong analytical skills, structured legal reasoning, and precise drafting. She is particularly proficient in legal research, preparation and drafting of cause papers, and supporting trial preparation for cases across all levels of the Malaysian Courts.

Ms. Lee is recognised for her strong attention to detail and her clear, assertive approach to dispute resolution. She consistently delivers well-supported legal arguments and high-quality written submissions, reflecting both technical competence and sound judgment.
